Very good points! It unacceptable to me for there to be no accountability after this tragic episode. If it was merely incompetence, firing and reputational disgrace might be adequate. But obviously much of this gets into the criminal realm. Forgiveness is irrelevant. Amnesty is absurd.
Walensky admitting that the CDC fell short isn't even a little satisfying because what she means by failure is not even what we're thinking of. She was talking more along the lines of "poor communication" and not masking or jabbing hard enough. They communicated well enough, it's just their policies were terrible and they never backed them up with data.
To this day, the US Federal government requires ALL foreign national to be "fully vaccinated" to enter the US.
