Questions: (1) Does anyone know what the ramifications are of an unvaccinated person receiving blood transfusions from vaccinated donor? (2) Does anyone know if blood donation centers are tagging and keeping separate "vaccinated blood" from "unvaccinated blood"? As importantly, if hospitals are matching unvaccinated patients with "unvaccinated blood". I haven't seen (or missed) information in this area. Thank you.
Hey, Joel. I have read many of your pieces and am very grateful for your hard work. You have been instrumental in helping me form my opinion about what is happening with Covid right now.
I humbly make a suggestion. I have been on the political left for decades. Some of us on the left are listening!--though I know very well that most of my (lost) cohort isn't. I don't think the problem is with leftist values, it is something else. Obviously, there is something wrong on the left if people eschew their own stated values and their stated devotion to critical thinking, in favor of the insane policies that some of us are fighting the best we can! (Maybe Desmet is right.) I think that the more scientists convey political neutrality even when they (understandably) don't feel it, the more chance we have of reaching people who have dug in for irrational reasons having nothing to do with creating physical health.
