“ Anyone who take (sic) Paxlovid should take a PCR test after the five day treatment to confirm whether or not they are truly clear of the COVID virus; a positive test is likely and requires isolation”. Unfortunately a positive PCR five days after a known infection doesn’t tell you anything, because a PCR will be positive even for remnants of dead virus. Apart from that concern, thank you for this useful post raising concern about rebound infection for Paxlovid users. I’ve been very involved in the early treatment movement using a sequential multi-drug approach, including HCQ and ivermectin, and have not heard of this problem emerging with those medications.
