I have removed a very long comment by Robin Whittle because it was inappropriate for a comment; it was just an attempt to publish her own work and added nothing critical to my article promoting use of vitamin D.

I wrote to link to the most pertinent research which supports your support for vitamin D. There's too much to put in a comment, so I linked to my sites.

If any reader wishes more detail about Vitamin D, then I most strongly recommend reading the materials published by Mr. Robin Whittle on his substack, "Nutrition Matters". I have read much of it, and it is so valuable. It is far, far more detailed than anything I have encountered to date on the subject, and, it is very well structured and organized, making it easy to navigate. I also inquired with some other orthomolecular medicine experts, and they affirmed that yes, they knew of Mr. Whittle's work in writing about vitamin D & COVID, and in fact have been working cooperatively with him. Because my profession was as an engineer of systems, I very much appreciate Mr. Whittle's approach to his research and reporting -- it fits me to a tee! ;-) No wonder -- Mr. Whittle, always humble, by the way -- describes himself as "electronic technician and computer programmer".

Mr. Hirschhorn, thank you so very much for all of *your* important reporting in the 'Pandemic Blunder Newsletter'. :-)

Bob K, thanks for the positive, supportive statement about Robin Whittle. Do we see his handiwork at not only " nutritionmatters.substack.com " but also "VitaminDStopsCovid.info" ?

Big fan of Vitamin D with Quercetin and Zinc. I take a good multi too covering Vit. C. Have been following this Dr. Zelenko protocol for well over a year. Haven't had so much as a sniffle.

I have taken Dr. Zelenko's covid 19 prevention protocol for the past 2 yrs. (10,000 iu Vitamin D3, 50mg. Zinc, 2000mg. Vit. C daily and then 1 single dose 200mg. Ivermectin weekly) I have terminal cancer for 7yrs., chemo treatment gave me double pnuemonia, Dr.'s treated me with prednesone which gave me diabetes, then treating me with 4 injections of insulin daily. Before leaving hospital I also received Covid infection with no symptoms. My Dr. said I was very lucky to walk out alive. Having Jesus care for me and strengthening the immune system he gave us. Vitamin D3 ++++ just proved it.

For those with newly diagnosed CANCER: altering one's diet over, say, a 6-to-8-week period toward a ketogenic diet regimen can get you better prepared for the rigors of chemotherapy or radiation therapy. The side effects of Chemo/Radio can often be rather daunting - even terrible. While shifting toward keto, take the time to do "homework" on the issue of "The Standard American Diet" versus Keto/"modified Adkins"/"high fat-low carb" .... there's now RELIABLE evidence that a period of fasting or "keto-push" just before chemotherapy reduces noticeably the post-chemotherapy funk... as a minimum, while "I was pleasantly surprised" is a more common response by such patients, Apparently, now some cancer centers are encouraging ketogenic lifestyle as part of some cancer treatment protocols. Your mileage may vary.. I am retired with an MD degree without significant hands-on clinical experience; my wife is also retired now, after decades of experience as a radiation oncologist.

In a social scientific policy context, see the following intriguing discussion, rather recently posted as a blog entry at a dedicated blog site of The London School of Economics and Political Science. The author, Daniele Fanelli (LSE), seeks an answer to the following question: "Are public health policies keeping up with shifting scientific consensus? The case of vitamin D."

The second liink worked; I strongly recommend everyone reads it; Fauci takes 6,000 D units daily but never told the public to do the same!
